About the course
If you have a load of Apps on your Smartphone but no clue how to actually use them, then this is the course for you! Building on the skills gained from the Smartphone for Beginners course, we will look at Apps you would use in a typical day; for example, listening to podcasts, booking train tickets, paying for parking, using your store cards and sending a WhatsApp voice message.
How the course will be delivered
You will work directly with your tutor as part of a small group covering the course aims. Your tutor will feed back to you throughout each session on your progress.
What you'll need to bring
You might find a pen and notebook handy to take notes and if you wear glasses don't forget to bring those too. As this is a portfolio based course, we will provide a folder and USB but please feel free to bring your own memory stick (USB/flash drive) to save your work to.
Entry requirements
Ideally you will have attended our ""Smartphone for Beginners"" course but learners who have a good knowledge of their Smartphone and how to download & use Apps are also welcome. Learners will need to bring their fully charged smartphone with them. Please note, due to the wide range of Android smartphone devices available, not all resources and commands provided by the Tutor will exactly match each device.
Next steps
On successful completion of this course you can progress onto a Nationally Accredited Qualification such as the new Essential Digital Skills Qualification or many of our other Digital Skills courses and workshops.
