The Service has recently been rated ‘Good’ overall by Ofsted following an inspection in June 2025, with two areas graded as ‘Outstanding’. This external recognition reflects the quality of teaching, learner support and outcomes that Cumbria Adult Learning continues to deliver.

Based in the six main localities (Barrow, Penrith, Kendal, Carlisle, Whitehaven and Workington and surrounding areas), learners will be supported throughout the course with help and guidance from the service’s expert staff.
