Family Learning
Grow together with family learning
Our free, fun family learning courses are designed to help adults and children learn together, build skills, develop confidence and maintain stronger family bonds. Parents and carers can support their child's education, improve their own skills or simply enjoy learning side-by-side. Our courses have something for everyone.
We offer courses in: English; maths; arts and crafts; and health and wellbeing, including support for dyslexia, autism spectrum disorder and ADHD. Courses range from a one-off two hour workshop to a 30 hour course over a term. We can be flexible to suit the needs of your venue. Schools and other settings can book family learning courses for their families at no charge and we can help with the costs of childcare and other expenses. Learners are expected to come to every session and there will be some activities to try at home each week.
Family Learning is about more than just education – it’s about growing together, gaining confidence and creating positive futures. In fact, the Education Endowment Foundation says that parental engagement has a positive impact on average of 4 months’ additional progress for children [source: https://educationendowmentfoundation.org.uk/education-evidence/teaching-learning-toolkit/parental-engagement]. Our sessions are welcoming, inclusive, and relaxed – a place where both adults and children feel comfortable, supported, and motivated. Families share experiences and celebrate their achievements together. Start your family learning journey with us today – we can’t wait to welcome you!
